धीरे-धीरे मार्ग काटता है, धीरे-धीरे कपड़ा सिला जाता है, धीरे-धीरे पहाड़ों की ऊंचाई को पार करना होता है। विद्या और धन भी धीरे-धीरे प्राप्त होते हैं, इसलिए मूलतः ये पांचों काम धीरे ही करने चाहिए।

हिंदी अर्थ:-
जो धर्म को जानने वाला है, उसे धर्म का पालन करने वाला, और सदैव धर्मपरायण है। जो सभी शास्त्रों के अर्थ को समझकर उनका उपदेश करता है, वह गुरु कहलाता है।

पुस्तकों में रखी गई विद्या और दूसरे के हाथों में गया धन। कार्य के समय जब विद्या और धन आवश्यक्ता होती है, तब दोनों हमारे काम नहीं आते हैं।

जिस व्यक्ति ने प्रथम अर्थात ब्रह्मचर्य आश्रम में विद्या अर्जित नहीं की, द्वितीय अर्थात गृहस्थ आश्रम में धन अर्जित नहीं किया, तृतीय अर्थात वानप्रस्थ आश्रम में पुण्य अर्जित नहीं किया, वह चतुर्थ अर्थात संन्यास आश्रम में क्या करेगा?

For a person engaged in action, there is neither anything unattainable here, nor is there any unworthy action.

घृतेन वर्धते वीर्यं मानसंमांसं प्रवर्धते ||

हिंदी अर्थ:-
शोक (दुख) से रोग बढ़ते हैं। दूध का सेवन करने से शरीर वृद्धि पाता है। घी का सेवन करने से शारीरिक बल (वीर्य) वृद्धि पाता है और मन, बुद्धि और मांस शरीर में वृद्धि पाते हैं।

जिस मनुष्य में स्वयं का विवेक, चेतना एवं बोध नहीं है, उसके लिए शास्त्र क्या कर सकता है। जैसे बिना आंखों के एक व्यक्ति, अर्थात् अंधे मनुष्य के लिए दर्पण क्या कर सकता है। यह श्लोक व्यक्ति की आत्म-ज्ञान की महत्वपूर्णता को दर्शाता है, और यह समझाता है कि यदि किसी के पास स्वयं की सही समझ नहीं है, तो वह विद्या या कौशल का उपयोग कैसे कर सकता है।

For a person who lacks self-awareness, consciousness, and understanding, what can scriptures achieve? Just as a mirror holds no value for a blind person, similarly, for someone who lacks inner insight, knowledge from scriptures might not hold much significance.

दुर्जन: परिहर्तव्यो विद्यालंकृतो ऽसन्।
मणिना भूषितो सर्प: किमसौ न भयंकर:।।

हिंदी अर्थ:-
दुर्जन (दुष्ट व्यक्ति) यदि विद्या से सुशोभित भी हो अर्थात वह विद्यावान भी हो, फिर भी उसका त्याग कर देना चाहिए। जैसे मणि से भूषित सर्प भी कितना भयंकर हो सकता है?

Durjanaḥ parihartavyo vidyālaṅkṛito ‘san,
Maṇinā bhūṣhito sarpaḥ kimasau na bhayankaraḥ.

Meaning in English:-
Even if a wicked person is adorned with knowledge, that is, even if they are knowledgeable, they should still be avoided. Just like a snake adorned with jewels, how terrifying it can be.

नैनं छिन्दन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनं दहति पावकः।
न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुतः॥

हिंदी अर्थ:-
यह श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता का श्लोक है। भगवान श्रीकृष्ण अर्जुन से कहते हैं:
इस आत्मा को शस्त्र छेद (काट) नहीं सकते, आग जला नहीं सकती है। पानी इसे नम (गीला) नहीं कर सकता, वायु इसे सुखा नहीं सकती है।
यह श्लोक आत्मा की अविनाशिता और अचलता को व्यक्त करता है। इसमें आत्मा की अद्वितीयता और अचलता का संकेत दिया गया है, जिससे यह दिखता है कि कोई भी शस्त्र, आग, पानी या वायु इसे प्रभावित नहीं कर सकते।

Nainaṁ chhindanti śhastrāṇi nainaṁ dahati pāvakaḥ,

Weapons cannot pierce the soul, fire cannot burn it, water cannot wet it, and the wind cannot dry it.

धर्म एव हतो हन्ति धर्मो रक्षति रक्षितः।
तस्माद् धर्मं न त्यजामि मा नो धर्मो हतोऽवधीत्।⁠।

हिंदी अर्थ:-
जो धर्म का नाश करता है, धर्म उसी का नाश कर देता है और जो धर्म की रक्षा करता है धर्म उसकी रक्षा करता है। इसलिए धर्म का हनन कभी नहीं करना चाहिए, क्योंकि धर्म को नष्ट करने से हम भी नष्ट हो जाएंगे।

अर्थस्य मूलं राजस्य। राजस्य मूलं इन्द्रियजय:।।

The root of happiness is righteousness (dharma). The root of righteousness is in acquiring wealth. The root of wealth lies in the state (power and governance). And the root of the state lies in conquering the senses, meaning, in controlling and mastering one’s own senses and desires.

जिनकी कृपा से मूक (गूंगा) को बोलने की क्षमता प्रदान मिलती है, लंगड़ा व्यक्ति भी बड़े पहाड़ को लांघ जाता है। मैं उन परमानंद स्वरुप माधव (कृष्ण) की वंदना करता हूँ।

Shlok in English:-
Mūkaṁ karoti vāchālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate giriṁ,
Yat-kṛipā tama-haṁ vande paramānanda mādhavam.

Meaning in English:-
Those who bestow their grace grant the ability to speak to the mute, and even a lame person can overcome great obstacles. I offer my salutations to that embodiment of supreme bliss, Madhava (Krishna).

प्रेरणादायक संस्कृत श्लोक ( Sanskrit Shlok )

वासांसि जीर्णानि यथा विहाय, नवानि गृह्णाति नरोऽपराणि।
तथा शरीराणि विहाय जीर्णा – न्यन्यानि संयाति नवानि देही।।

हिंदी अर्थ:-
जैसे कोई व्यक्ति पुराने और प्रयुक्त वस्त्रों को छोड़कर नए वस्त्र पहनता है, उसी प्रकार आत्मा अपने पुराने शरीरों को छोड़कर नए शरीरों को प्राप्त करता है।
इस श्लोक अर्थ है कि जीवन परिवर्तनशील है और जीवन का चक्र सदैव चलता रहता है।

Shlok in English:-
Vāsānsi jīrṇāni yathā vihāya, navāni gṛhṇāti naro’parāṇi,
Tathā śharīrāṇi vihāya jīrṇā-nyanyāni sanyāti navāni dehī.

Meaning in English:-
Just as a person discards old and worn-out clothes to wear new ones, similarly, an individual leaves behind their old bodies to attain new bodies. This illustrates the cyclical nature of life where beings go through a continuous process of birth and rebirth.

नाभिषेको न संस्कारः सिंहस्य क्रियते मृगैः।
विक्रमार्जितराज्यस्य स्वयमेव मृगेंद्रता।।

हिंदी अर्थ:-
सिंह को जंगल का राजा घोषित करने के लिए ना कोई अभिषेक किया जाता है और ना कोई संस्कार किया जाता है। वह अपने गुणों एवं पराक्रम से स्वयं ही मृगेन्द्र अर्थात जंगल के राजा का पद प्राप्त करता है।

Shlok in English:-
Nābhiṣheko na sanskāraḥ siṁhasya kriyate mṛgaiḥ,
Vikramārjit rājyasya svayameva mṛgendratā.

Meaning in English:-
A lion is not declared the king of the jungle through any coronation or ritual, nor is it adorned with any ceremonies. It attains the position of the king of the jungle through its qualities and prowess, and thus naturally becomes the ‘Mṛigendra’, meaning the king of animals in the jungle.

अच्युतं केशवं रामनारायणं कृष्णदामोदरं वासुदेवं हरिम् ।
श्रीधरं माधवं गोपिकावल्लभं जानकीनायकं रामचंद्रं भजे ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:-
हे अच्युत (अमर और अविनाशी), हे केशव (बालकृष्ण), जो राम और नारायण हैं।
हे कृष्ण जो दामोदर के रूप में जाने जाते हैं, जो वासुदेव (श्रीकृष्ण) है।
हे हरि (विष्णु), जो श्रीधर (श्रीकृष्ण) हैं, जो माधव (कृष्ण) हैं, जो गोपियों का वल्लभ (प्रिय) हैं।
जो जानकी के नायक (राम) हैं, हे रामचंद्रं, मैं उनका भजन करता हूँ।

Shlok in English:-
Achyutaṁ Keshavaṁ Rāma-Nārāyaṇaṁ Kṛiṣhṇa-Dāmodaraṁ Vāsudevaṁ Harim, Śrīdharaṁ Mādhavaṁ Gopikā-vallabhaṁ Jānakī-nāyakaṁ Rāma-Chandraṁ bhaje.

Meaning in English:-
O Achyuta (the Imperishable), O Keshava (Krishna), who is both Rama and Narayana,
O Krishna, who is known as Damodara (Krishna in His childhood form with a rope around His waist),
O Vasudeva (Krishna), the divine and all-pervading, O Hari (Vishnu),
O Shridhara (Krishna), O Madhava (Krishna), who is dear to the Gopis (cowherd girls),
O Lord of Sita (Janki), O Rama Chandra (Rama), I offer my worship to you.

ॐ वाङ् मे मनसि प्रतिष्ठिता । मनो मे वाचि प्रतिष्ठितम् ।
आविराविर्म एधि । वेदस्य म आणीस्थः ।
श्रुतं मे मा प्रहासीः । अनेनाधीतेनाहोरात्रान्सन्दधामि ।

हिंदी अर्थ:-
मेरी वाणी में मन प्रतिष्ठित हो, और मेरे मन में वाणी प्रतिष्ठित हो अर्थात मन और वाणी स्थिर हो जाये।मुझमें स्वयं प्रकट आत्मा का ज्ञान बढ़े और मैं वेदों को जानूं। वेद के ज्ञान अर्जन के लिए मेरे स्थिर मन और वाणी आधार बनें। जो मेरे द्वारा सुना गया है वह एक रूप नहीं है, लेकिन मैं इस वेद का अध्ययन, दिन और रात्रि करके इसे संयोजित करता हूँ।

Shlok in English:-
Om vaṅ me manasi pratiṣhṭhitā
mano me vāchi pratiṣhṭhitam
āvirāvirma edhi
vedasya ma āṇīsthaḥ
śhrutaṁ me mā prahāsīḥ
anenādītenāhorātrān sandadhāmi.

Meaning in English:-
In my speech, let my thoughts be established, and in my thoughts, let my speech be established. In other words, may my speech and thoughts be in harmony. May my understanding of the self, which is self-evident, increase, and may I gain knowledge of the Vedas. May the knowledge from the Vedas become the foundation for my stable mind and speech. What I have heard is not just a mere sound, but by studying the Vedas day and night, I integrate and internalize their teachings.

रामो राजमणिः सदा विजयते रामं रमेशं भजे
रामेणाभिहता निशाचरचमूः रामाय तस्मै नमः ।
रामान्नास्ति परायणंपरतरं रामस्य दासोस्म्यहं
रामे चित्तलयस्सदा भवतु मे भो राम मामुद्धर ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:-
राम (श्रीराम) ही सभी राजाओं में श्रेष्ठ हैं, वे सदा विजयी होते हैं। मैं उन लक्ष्मीपति राम का भजन करता हूँ, जिन्होंने सम्पूर्ण राक्षसों को पराजित किया। राम को नमस्कार है। श्रीराम के समान अन्य कोई आश्रयदाता नहीं, मैं शरणागतों की रक्षा करने वाले श्री राम का दास हूँ। मेरा मन राम में ही लगा रहे, हे भगवान राम, आप मेरा उद्धार करें।

Shlok in English:-
Rāmo rājamaṇiḥ sadā vijayate rāmaṁ raśeśaṁ bhaje
Rāmeṇābhahitā niśācaracamuḥ rāmāya tasmai namaḥ ।
Rāmānnāsti parāyaṇaṁ parataraṁ rāmasya dāsosmīhaṁ
Rāme cittalayassadā bhavatu me bho rāma māmuddhara ॥

Meaning in English:-
Rama (Lord Rama) is indeed the best among all kings; He is always victorious. I worship Lord Rama, the consort of Goddess Lakshmi, who defeated all the demons. I offer my salutations to Lord Rama. There is no other refuge like Lord Rama. I am a servant of Lord Rama, who protects the devotees. May my mind always remain focused on Lord Rama. O Lord Rama, please save me.
